2024 HEARTH SAUVIGNON BLANC

Tasting Notes

Bright aromatics of citrus blossom, lime zest, white peach, and green apple, with hints of pineapple, passion fruit, and fresh herbs adding lift and complexity. The palate is lively and focused, with vibrant acidity framed by a gentle mid-palate roundness that softens the edges and carries through to a smooth, persistent finish.

Reynoso Vineyard

Clones: 1 and 27, planted in 2000
Harvest Dates: August 23–24, 2024

The 2024 growing season was marked by moderate temperatures and the absence of major heat events, allowing for steady ripening and excellent retention of natural acidity. These conditions supported the development of clean aromatics, balanced sugars, and the mineral tension that defines the finished wine.

Winemaking Notes

Egg Fermenter: QA23 yeast, selected for its high β-glucosidase activity to lift aromatics — particularly citrus, floral, and tropical notes. We call this the “Fruit” lot.
Stainless Fermentation: WY49 yeast, chosen for its ability to enhance mouthfeel. We call this the “Flint” lot.
Aging: Stainless, 6 months
Blending: 80% Fruit, 20% Flint
Alcohol: 13.8% ABV
